The Burnpark Greyhounds
Greyhound racing is an extremely popular sport in Ireland, and Irish bred greyhounds have gone on to race and breed successfully all over the world.
In the Irish greyhound world, the Burnpark prefix has been to the fore for quite some time giving owner trainer Michael Browne of Leitrim, his wife Mary, and family considerable success.
The Burnpark breed of greyhounds are a top class breed. They have exceptional early pace and stay on strongly to 550 yards. The dam line traces back to Witching Eve, litter sister to Witching Night who was dam of Mile Bush Pride, English Derby Winner in 1959. The Burnpark breed can be found world wide, having produced outstanding greyhounds in Ireland, England and the United States.
The Burnpark greyhounds have won numerous races and stakes in all parts of Ireland. The highlights of the Burnpark track wins are:

- 1985 Puppy Derby - Burnpark Black
- 1987 Consolation Puppy Derby - Burnpark Bob

The highlight of greyhounds sold-on from the Burnpark kennels was Burnpark Lord, who won the Scottish Derby in 1996.
On the Coursing front the Burnpark greyhounds have also won several trial stakes for Clonmel and have also been successful in all-aged events. The highlights of the Burnpark coursing runs are:
